Ultrasonic Technology: A New Era begins, The Ultimate Precision Cleaning Solution for the Manufacturing Industry.
Ultrasonic cleaning methods have been used by global manufacturer’s and engineering companies for decades, because of its ability to remove contaminated items of all types, from the most delicate to those that are being used in the harsh environments.
Ultrasonic cleaning not only makes difficult jobs easy, but also can save and restore items and equipment that you may have thought were beyond repair. By using ultrasonic technology will save you both time and money, while applying cleaning methods that are environmentally responsible, fast and efficient.
In the engineering sector, ultrasonic technology assists manufacturers meet precision cleaning requirements by addressing every cleaning and parts washing application fathomable. Machine oils and grease are often left behind during the manufacturing process; these residues must be cleaned to provide adequate bonding to the substrate for additional processes such as electroplating, polishing or powder coating following the manufacturing of the product. Sunflower Ultrasonic cleaning tanks is the solution.
Sunflower Ultrasonic Tanks
Stainless steel containers to hold solutions and parts(s), usually rectangular in shape and can be manufactured in almost any size
Ultrasonic Transducers
A component which receives electrical energy from a generator or power supply and converts it into mechanical vibrations
Ultrasonic Generator
Converts the frequency of standard electricity into high frequency needed to create ultrasonic vibrations
The versatility of Sunflower ultrasonic cleaning machines make them an ideal choice for the automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace and engineering industries, as well as many other industries. Ultrasonic cleaning uses cavitation bubbles induced by high-frequency pressure (sound) waves to agitate a liquid.

How Ultrasonic Cleaning Works
Ultrasonic cleaning uses cavitation bubbles induced by high-frequency pressure (sound) waves to agitate in a liquid. The agitation produces high forces on contaminants adhering to substrates like metals, plastics, glass, rubber and ceramics. This action also penetrates blind holes, cracks and recesses.
The intention is to thoroughly remove all traces of contamination tightly adhering or embedded onto solid surfaces. Water or solvents can be used, depending on the type of contamination and the part.
A basic ultrasonic cleaning tank uses ultrasound (usually from 20–400 KHZ) and an appropriate cleaning solution to clean items. Cleaning normally lasts between three and six minutes.
This cleaning technology is used in a wide variety of applications, including plastic parts, bearings, bolts, rubber parts, internal parts, plastic injection molds, transmission parts and the final cleaning of all engine parts prior to assembly. In the process it removes contaminants such as dust, dirt, oil, pigments, rust, grease, algae, fungus, bacteria, lime scale, polishing compounds, flux agents, fingerprints, soot wax and mold release agents and biological soil.
The versatility of Sunflower ultrasonic cleaning machines make them an ideal choice for the automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace and engineering industries, along with many other commercial applications. Namely found in the jewellery trade, optical, watches together with sports equipment and musical instruments.

Types of Sunflower Ultrasonic Cleaners
• Table-Top Ultrasonic Cleaners
Table-top units are small and can sit on a table, on a shelf or on a workbench. Given their size, they are portable, and their single tanks generally range in size from a half-gallon to eight gallons. Table-top units are ideal for small and light-duty applications.
• Bench-Top Ultrasonic Cleaners
Bench-top units offer larger capacity options and more cleaning power than table-top units. Tanks on bench-top units run as large as 20 gallons, and they are ideal for industrial, automotive, aerospace and engineering industries.
• Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaners
These tanks are designed to accommodate large and heavy equipment and parts, commonly found in industrial parts, automotive and aerospace parts. These single tank machines are typically on movable castors and can vary in size from 30 gallons up to 80 gallons plus. Other non-movable variations can comprise rinse and dry stations and other features.
Transducers
Our Transducers can added to an existing ultrasonic tank to enhance the cleaning effect. Click here to learn more.

Benefits of Sunflower Ultrasonic Cleaners
Ultrasonic cleaning deliver a far superior level of clean that no conventional parts cleaning system can provide. This, however, is not their only advantage. They are also environmentally friendly, cost effective, time efficient, versatile, gentle, energy efficient, reliable and able to clean the smallest parts.
Environmentally Friendly
Ultrasonic cleaning offers reduced biodegradable waste, emissions, and a safer working environment.
Cost Effective
Since ultrasonic cleaning utilizes soap-based solutions in combination with sonic energy, it has minimal operating costs. The cost per operation can vary a little, depending on the type of cleansing agent used and the parts being cleaned. However, it is marginal in comparison to other options.
Time Efficiency
The time required to clean metal parts using ultrasonic cleaning is relatively short, so you’ll see great savings on your energy bill.
Versatility
Using ultrasonic industrial parts cleaners, you can clean up almost every variety of pollutants and particulates. Oil, grease, metal chips, cutting fluids, dirt, dust, sand, metal melts, paint, shavings, carbon, sulfur, oxides, and many other elements are in the list of contaminants that these intelligent devices can eradicate.

Gentleness
To clean parts and remove debris, ultrasonic cleaners do not rely on abrasion, scrubbing, spraying, vacuuming or the like. Instead, they offer a much gentler solution. Ultrasonic is so gentle that you can even use it to clean the delicate microchips of phones and laptops.
Energy Efficiency
In comparison with traditional industrial parts washers, ultrasonic cleaners consume much less power. While other washing machines have scores of motors to perform different actions, ultrasonic washing machines have just one motor to carry out different exercises. Furthermore, the cleaner motor is usually designed to work efficiently without consuming too much electricity.
Reliability
Ultrasonic technology centers on effective and reliable parts washing. There is no moving or rotatory part in this application. To put it simply, ultrasonic cleaning devices do not work on a rotating mechanism. For that reason, ultrasonic washers keep working reliably and constantly.
Small Parts Cleaning
When you are working with ultrasonic cleaners, there is no need to worry about small machine parts. This cleaning system offers an ease in washing small parts that are typically tough to wash with conventional systems. In addition to this factor, you can perform cleaning even within open and deep sections of machine parts. Ultrasonic tank cleaning machines prove very effective for parts with passageways, small openings, cracks and holes.
